Dexter is about 15 minutes northwest of Ann Arbor, and it feels like a different pace entirely. A village of around 4,500 people wrapped around the Huron River, with a small downtown, a farmers market, and the kind of main street where people actually know each other.
For cyclists it's hard to beat. The Border-to-Border Trail runs right through town, and Dexter-Huron Metropark is a regular stop on my rides. You get river access, parks, and quiet roads in every direction.
Homes range from historic village houses to newer subdivisions on the outskirts. If you want small-town life with Ann Arbor still an easy drive or ride away, start here.
Thinking about Dexter? Let's talk. I'll show you what it actually feels like to live here.
